Tonya Cornelisse is an award winning actress that is recurring on Showtime’s YELLOWJACKETS. She can seen on the comedy Series HITMEN on SKY (UK) /NBC’s Peacock (US). Tonya recently wrapped the feature film MARKED MEN. She can be seen recently in SLUMBERLAND for Netflix along with Nick Cassavetes’ latest GOD IS NOT A BULLET. 

The Sundance Film release of MOPE and the feature film LOVE IS NOT LOVE  are now streaming on all VOD platforms. On Amazon Prime, Tonya stars in the short-form series SISTERS (currently shooting its @nd Season). Head on over to TUBI TV and check out the first season of THE HOMEMADE SKETCH SHOW where Tonya is a series regular and writer of this homemade SNL chock full of talent. Tonya's roots are from the theatre and has performed in numerous plays on and off-broadway in NYC and throughout the country.  In addition, Tonya is an accomplished voice-over artist including being the Voice of Lexus and an award winning narrator for Penguin Random House, Audible and Findaway Voices amongst others.

A force in the theatre scene, Tonya was the recipient of the Best Supporting Actress award at The Humana Festival by the Actors theatre of Louisville and the Theatre Critics Circle Association. Broadway: revival of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.” Off Broadway: The Public Theatre, the Cherry Lane Theatre, Darryl Roth Theatre, Atlantic Theatre Company, Ensemble Studio Theatre, The WhiteFire Theatre and more.  In LA,  she is a proud member of Academy Award Winner Bobby Moresco’ Actors Gym and Ensemble Studio Theatre. 

*In addition to her acting credits, Tonya has penned a number of screenplays, plays and short stories including Dog Lovers, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.  *Tonya works extensively in Voice Over including commercial campaigns as the Voice of Lexus, other campaigns including Dove, Lipton Tea, Hellman’s, & Nike. As a child, Tonya’s natural husky voice was often confused for her husky-framed father when answering the family phone. Tonya is an award-winning Audio Book Narrator and with an extensive theatrical and dance background that naturally lends itself to the world of MoCap. *Training/Education: Tonya hails from NYC's Tisch School of the Arts where she double majored in theatre and psychology. She was lucky to have the opportunity to be mentored and perform alongside Alan Arkin, and has been lucky to privately study with many of the late-greats Harold Guskin, George DiCenzo & Stan Kirsch.

She currently lives in London (NYC or LA and all over the world as work calls) with her husband and her goldendoodle TOAST!
